At the intersection of governance, innovation, learning & AI — Madrid, Spain
I spent 26 years at a leading global telecom provider, holding roles from IT security up to IT EMEA — running 100-person regional teams, managing up to €120M budgets, and co-designing global learning programmes for 24,000 people. Since November 2023 I have worked independently, going deeper on what I care about most: governance, innovation, education, and AI.
Today I advise boards navigating the new innovation reality and regulatory landscape, teach at IE Business School, and build AI-powered ventures — including NIS2MM, a Governance-as-a-Service platform for board-level cyber oversight, and Escuela para la Vida, an EdTech venture for the AI generation.
Most engagements start with the board. Teaching and building sharpen the perspective I bring.
Independent advisory on how boards oversee cybersecurity, AI, governance, and digital risk — grounded in NIS2, DORA, and real board practice. The goal is helping companies become more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive.
Informed by my ongoing NIS2 board-readiness research with IE Center for the Governance of Change, in collaboration with ISMS Forum. See Professor & Researcher →
Faculty at IE Business School since 2013. I teach executives what I'm doing with executive teams and boards right now — not yesterday's case study. Selected as GXMBA Best Professor 2026.
Three ventures, one through-line: restoring agency — the capacity of individuals and organisations to understand, decide, and act in a world reshaped by AI and digital risk.
Not a developer by training — by conviction. Shipping real products since Summer 2025 using Claude Code, Python · FastAPI, React · Vite · Next.js, Supabase, Vercel. Local LLMs for sensitive board data. The point is not the stack — the point is closing the gap between the tools that exist and the tools governance actually needs.
Three decades of experience across cybersecurity, leadership, and learning design. The last years focused on governance, AI, and hands-on building. Capabilities, like the work itself, are always in progress.
